Getting to Stonehenge from Salisbury Train Station

Just stepped off the train at Salisbury? Stonehenge is 35 minutes away. Our shuttle picks up from Caboose, which is a 2-minute walk from the station exit. Turn left, cross at the zebra. You are there.

From the station exit to Caboose: step by step

Exit through the main station doorsFollow signs for the main exit onto South Western Road. Do not turn right towards the taxi rank.

Turn left onto South Western RoadOnce through the main doors, turn left. You will see the road in front of you.

Cross at the zebra crossingThe zebra crossing is directly ahead, about 50 metres from the exit.

Caboose is immediately in front of you115 South Western Road. The shuttle departs from here. Drop your bags, collect your coffee, board.

Total walking time from platform to Caboose: approximately 2 minutes. Arrive 15 minutes before your booked departure to collect your included coffee.

Other options from Salisbury station

The Stonehenge Tour public bus also departs from outside Salisbury train station. The bus stop is directly outside the main entrance on South Western Road. The service costs £22 to £25 return and runs throughout the year. It stops at Old Sarum before reaching Stonehenge.

Taxis are available from the rank on the right-hand side as you exit the station. A taxi to Stonehenge takes approximately 20 minutes and costs £30 to £40 each way.
