Making a day of it: combining Salisbury and Stonehenge

Salisbury is a medieval city worth exploring in its own right. Salisbury Cathedral has the tallest spire in Britain and houses an original copy of the Magna Carta. If you arrive into Salisbury mid-morning, you have time to walk through the city centre before boarding the 12:05 or 13:05 shuttle. You will still get 2 to 3 hours at Stonehenge before the last return.
